Annual Tulsa Veterans Day Parade

This was the fourth year that we have participated in the Tulsa Veteran's Day Parade. The parade was held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. We met near the old city building at First Street and Hartford Avenue to build the float. It started our windy and a little cold and it stayed that way! But it was a perfect day to honor those men and women who have fought for our freedoms.

Thank you to all of our veterans that rode the float, to those members who walked the parade route handing out the candy, and to those who came to help decorate the float. A special note of gratitude goes out to John Sanford who supplied the truck and flatbed trailer. He goes above and beyone the call of duty to paint his trailer to make it look great plus he spends his own money on gas and this year printed special banners to thank the veterans and to promote the club. Without his support in this project, we wold not be able to participate each year. Thanks also goes out to Miss Oklahoma 2014, Alex Eppler for participating.

Those who took part in the day were: Roger Herring, John Sanford, Deirdre Dexter, Ron Smith, Brian Walker, Brad Gemeinhart, Carole Morris, Dave Kauffman, Charlie VanDeWiele, Bob Piland, Bard Moss, Mance Cannon, Richard Jaeger, Bob McKim, and Alex Eppler.
